I think if the woman is paying for her own clothes, hair, jewelry and lifestyle etc its probably quite attractive. It becomes 'high maintenance' when the man is expected to fund the woman's lifestyle, especially if its a woman who always wants stuff and is never content or is ungrateful.

I’m closer to 70 than to 60 and your advice, in my opinion, is spot on. I am a retired financial planner; women definitely need to become more financially literate and become investors. Sadly, early feminists were discouraging us from staying home and having children even in the 70s.

For me it’s very normal that a woman wants to take care of herself in best possible way. It’s not normal when woman don’t do that. Men are much more "high maintenance" than women actually. Men not only expect women to pay 50/50, split the bills, but also have to be submissive, obey, and do all the household labor, childcare,.. while she still have to be sexy and pretty at the same time. lol

I find it funny how some of my MALE friends used to say in despiseful way that some women are high maintenance. They said it jokingly but meaning they would Never want a woman like that themselves. These friend were single at the time. NOW these same men provide everything to their women and more. 😂 I don't know what happened. Ofc they provide on their own level, and they don't have a luxury lifestyle of any sort. Maybe that's what they meant with high maintenance women!? That those wanna keep a very expensive lifetyle!? But I still find it funny. These men are now providing whole houses, hiking equipment, whatever their women need. But I'm proud of my friends for that. They have had a good salary for a long time, and usually women don't have that access. And why wouldn't you use your money for a person that is the nearest and dearest to you? For me it's just obvious. I find these friends of mine to be gentlemen, and respect their wifes/girlfriends.

Dear Anna, I followed you since years and love your videos. However about feminism, I agree nobody should shamen women who stay at home. But I also love to have the choice to have a career. I rarely heard any feminist say that women should not stay at home if they are really well provided for financially (including retirement savings and everything she needs and wants). I feel quite feminine but I do work, and as I don’t want children, I am happy I can invest some of my energy into a job I like. I do even enjoy to watch some trad wife content sometimes because it looks relaxing. I just feel this argument of feminists not respecting women who stay at home is a straw man argument to criticize feminism. Also considering climate change and the environment, a little bit of a population decrease might be a good thing, we are very far from extinction. Women with options will not have children with a man if they know they can’t offer the children a good enough lifestyle and they are right about it

Yet it's actually about wealth and BIG SPENDING NOT JUST ON ONES APPEARANCE BUT ON LIFESTYLE AS WELL. ​High maintenance is considered a compliment and in the circles I'm used to moving in, both men and women are high maintenance with extravagant lifestyles involving haute couture, international travel, multiple nannies, multiple residences around the world, being on member lists of exclusive night clubs, etc. Men at that level refuse to date anybody who is NOT high maintenance as they earn more than enough to keep their women satisfied financially. They like expensive cars and expensive gfs and trophy wives. It's basic Demand and Supply where I live, so it's surprising to see it portrayed so negatively in the video and in the comments.
